Production has been modified to include above ground drill rigs. Production is becoming an essential systems node, particularly in distributed systems with multiple work places. Besides updating production activity (and revenues generated), single screens can update SMUs (Service Meter Units), fuel and oil usage, operators work experience, plant incidents and servicing completed, accidents and safety reports.
HTML reporting for statistical information and key performance indicators. In version 8 of the application, reports can run, unattended in background, continually updating HTML pages.
Application partitioning and multiple DBMSs (DataBase Management Systems) means that work load can be shared over multiple servers. Transactional information can be recorded in ISAM structured databases (providing entry speed and stability), which in turn updates SQL files (i.e. MS SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase) for set based updating, analysis (e.g. for multidimensional, cross tabs) and reporting.
History input has an option of automatically closing and resetting service periods and component changes.
Scheduled maintenance templates accept documentation from external MS Windows based sources (MS Word, PDF files etc), as well as maintaining its own internal database. |
