Systems are developed using Magic 4GLŠ, by Magic Software Enterprises (MSE).

GS&A is capable of taking on and fast tracking complex applications. Unlike many environments, Magic has rapid and iterative prototyping abilities. Importantly, detailed specifications (at the component level) do not have be to written before development commences. Normally we ask for functional overviews, and we will nominate how much can be achieved within a fixed time frame i.e. 50, 100 hours. In this way the client can monitor progress and costs as they occur.

End user involvement is maximised. New user requests are easily tracked and immediately implemented. Rapid feedback and immediate access to the revised application promotes heightened end user participation, while ensuring satisfaction with the final application.

With Magic's open architecture we can combine heterogeneous data from multiple databases into a tightly integrated system. Developers and end users can access multiple databases from anywhere in the corporate-wide environment from the same application and even from the same data view. Data from one DBMS or file manager can be physically moved across platforms and even automatically converted from one format to another.

MagicGate gateways process each database request in the most optimal way for the given propriety RDBMS or File Management System - fully exploiting each database's unique features.

We have comprehensive internal billing and modification systems which forms part of internal quality control procedures. Over time, we are working towards AS and ISO quality assurance recognition.

Support is conducted via modem from our offices on the Gold Coast. Magic is a tokenised development engine. This means it runs at near complied speeds, and changes can be made on line. Many changes can be done in 5 - 10 minutes, and with the flexibility of modem access, we can respond quickly.

Magic is unique. It is a code free environment, consisting of only thirteen commands backed up by comprehensive expression tables. Applications are easier to maintain in a code free environment.

Magic also enables you to exploit your existing hardware and software assets, at the same time providing an economical migration path to client/ server computing. Businesses can move to client/ server while preserving existing investments by accessing legacy ISAM or SQL-based data and utilising character-based terminals, if needed, concurrently with graphical work stations in the same application. Migration to a full client/ server architecture can thus be done in a controlled, incremental manner without disrupting the business.
