Production is the glue which holds much of the plant management process together.

It processes shift reports (segmented by time, activity and revenues) generating production statistics to determine the overall operating position, along with maintenance expenses.

Input also drives the maintenance system through the recording of:

Fuel and Oil consumption,
SMU updates,
Operator experience, collating back to training and skill levels,
Maintenance work and component changes and
Windows for opportunity based maintenance.

MINING PRODUCTION

The Production module analyses production shift reports from open cut coal mining, producing periodic reports and statistics.

Although primarily set up for coal, it can be adapted to any type of mining.

While Production is integrated to other CPM modules sharing common information, it is primarily associated with the Employees sub module. As shift reports are entered, employee experience on various plant is updated.

Most statistics are user definable as, for example, availability and utilisation will change between mines, and even within a mine over time.

An optional extension is input from on-vehicle data loggers.

Production handles both production and maintenance/ support equipment ranging from dragline, dozers loaders to graders and water trucks. There are choices of several entry screens depending on the style and sequence of input.

Input:

Key fields are:

Plant (with a look up table indicating whether there has been a previous entry for the shift),
Date,
Shift,
Shift type (normal or overtime),
Operator (with provisions for multiple operators),
Shift duration (with defaults) and
Hours already allocated.

The program will not allow you to leave the record until all time is accounted for. Shifts are divided into segments comprising the following:

Type of activity,
Seam,
Location (3 location fields for grids),
Operator,
Number of loads or passes with automatic conversion to bulk cubic metres (optional manual override),
Tonnes (automatically calculated from BCM using an updatable conversion factor),
Time spent both in HH.MM and decimal hours,
Weekly entry screens identifies where there are no shift entries against a plant item,
Work codes are user definable and split into active production, production delays, idle, repair delays, scheduled delays and non productive work,
Archiving of production results.

Reports:

There are numerous reports including:

Monthly reports.
Employee experience per machine.
Detailed and summary machine reports.
Machine reports by operator.
Drilling reports.
Production by shift, material and seam.
Production meters drilled.
Period reports.
Plant activity and hours.
Machine statistics. Statistics such as availability and utilisation are user definable.
Volumes moved.
Dragline reports.
Comparisons of actuals, budgets and survey results.
